Arrival and Departure Policy

Treetops ECC aims to provide a safe and secure environment and the objective of this
policy is to ensure a smooth drop off and collection process to be in place at all times. The main aim of this policy is to ensure that children are kept safe during points of transition and to address their emotional needs during these often stressful times of the day. To uphold the policy, we must ensure the following

Drop Off
  • 🌿 We will receive each child in a warm and friendly manner and ensure that they depart safely at the end of each session.
🌿 To avoid disruption to the routine, parents are requested to ensure that their child is dropped off no later than 15 minutes of their timings. The ECC is open from 7:30am to 6:00pm with Morning and Afternoon sessions.
🌿 Early Drop off can be arranged by prior notice. There is a fee for early drop off and late pick up.
🌿 Parents should inform Teachers/Manager of any important information, such as existing bumps/bruises etc at the time of drop off.
🌿 We would prefer parents not to prolong their goodbyes unnecessarily, as this is can be unsettling for some children.
Collection
  • 🌿 At pick-up time, parents and carers are requested to wait at the Collection Point and a member of staff will bring your child to you.
🌿 The ECC must be notified if anyone other than the parent/carer or the persons
mentioned as authorized to collect your child changes.
🌿 Parents are requested to collect their child promptly at pick up time. The teacher will wait 15 minutes with the child after which the Manager will contact the parents/carers via phone
🌿 If the manager is not able to make contact with primary carer, she will try to contact the secondary carer. In case manager is unable to make contact with any of the carers, she is to contact the emergency contact and ask them to collect the child. A full written report of the incident is recorded in the child’s file.
🌿 Parents who arrive early for collection may wait in reception until the manager has
informed them their child is ready for collection.
🌿 Please be aware that if you are not picking-up your child yourself on a regular basis, you must authorise a responsible adult such as a nanny or carer (an “Authorised Person”) to pick-up your child instead. The ECC must have such prior written authorisation in advance, in the form of a completed and signed ‘Child Pick-Up Authorisation’ Form together with a photo ID of the relevant Authorised Person. Parents are also requested to ensure that their Authorised Person carries a photo ID with them, in the event that a verification of identity is required.
🌿 The ECC closes promptly each day at 6:00p.m. Parents and other responsible adult
should be on the premises by this time.
